Hammers were created for carpentry, blacksmithing, etc. War came later.
Mesopotamians used hammers, even for music, for percussions

 

Who are YOU trying to convince. Tools were created as tools before they were made for war lol

To kill with a knife, you have to 'work for it'. Its not easy. And you can be stopped quickly after killing one person.
WIth a gun? Depending on the gun, you can kill at least half a dozen people before ANYONE can react

 

I tend to think that these arguments are missing the point. The issue really is why people feel they need to go down this way. Most of these cases it is Hate or mental illness of some sort. Just the other day some 20 year old ran over some people at a fundraiser for a people in a house fire that some people died in. Then after this he speed off then ran over his mom and beat her with a hammer to make sure she was dead. Why .. something to do that he was frustrated that she would not given him more money. Ya no gun.. but big impact. I am pretty sure of he had better support options to help him with his issues he would not go down this violence as a solution option. Gun are not the real issue, as cars, hammers, swords, knifes and Bombs.. it the people using them, that are often in a place of needing help. That is what we should be putting resources into ( in my humble opinion), making points about how fast a person can kill people with something I feel missing the point of the people that get hurt and have to live with that pain forced on them or die from the attack.

 

But the thing is, a car, or a hammer, or other tools used by that killer, were not designed to kill.
Guns are DESIGNED to kill. Its their ONLY GOAL. It makes it EASY to kill.
That is the problem actually. So yes, any psycho with issues can take a gun and kill a bunch of people. Someone determined will always find a way to kill people, but with guns, they could kill MORE people

 

Do you KNOW a hammer was not designed to KILL? Maybe it was repurposed for another use else after it was designed to KILL. Ever hear of a WAR HAMMER? Has anyone heard of some guy named David who killed a guy named Goliath with a ROCK at a distance using a sling. It's in the Bible. Or is the Bible a lie?

 

People will find ways to kill other fast and in number. The realty is that stuff we buy to clean our house can easily be made into a bomb of mass destruction in a populated area. Efforts are made to hide how to do this to a point, and try to track people buy stuff in odd amounts to stop this. I agree we use guns to hunt, defend and to hurt others. but bombs are used the same way, to mine and industrial uses we depend on, but also to kill. Setup up systems so people don't need to go in to a mode in which they feel hurting others is the solution to the issue. gun are just a one of many methods/tools people use to care out acts to hurt others

 

Yes, there are War Hammer. But the word says it all. WAR hammer. War + the word Hammer. The use of a prefixe in the word means there were ALREADY hammers when they decided to build WAR hammers.
As for the Bible, yes, its all lies, edited multiple times. But that's another topic.

 

Just because the word WAR was dropped doesn't mean it was not meant to KILL first. As for the Bible, if those who believe it, will.

People driving cars improperly kill tens of thousands more people each year than the hundreds of deaths due to people using guns improperly.

So with that logic, cars should be banned.
