I don't think it was racist at all, and neither do most of the "ethnic groups" who should supposedly be offended. The press and the opposition parties are trying to make a big deal of it, but they just did a poll and the results were 70% of Canadians don't consider it an issue. Just because 70% of Canadians don't think blackface is racist doesn't mean it's not. I'm not PC, I'm just not racist. Used to be a time where around 100% of people in America thought slavery was okay. Was it? I mean, around 100% of people in America thought so, so using your logic it must have been, right?

Because you consider it racist doesn't mean it is. It's simply your opinion.
People with some sense see it for what it actually was - a fancy dress party.

(I can only conclude by your own quoted 100% statistic that the aforementioned slaves weren't people by your definition - I can sure as hell bet they didn't think it was OK)
