My experience was in the 1970's, on visits to my cousin's place in the North of England.

My first ever trip overseas was in 1972, and I stayed with her and her husband while there. He went away on work for a few days, and one thing led to another, and then led to many amorous letters between several annual trysts.

We were never discovered, but it just gradually faded away. Oddly, the fact that it was incest was never a concern, nor was it the reason that it stopped. We ended things because we came to worry that her husband (a fine fellow whom I liked) would eventually find out, and be hurt.

My most recent visit was eight years ago, and we still speak of it as an 'interlude' which fortunately remains a fond memory, but only between ourselves.​
