Tonight I made barbecue chicken leg quarters and had them with a side of deviled-egg potato salad. It was delicious

Sirloin steak with cheese and almond sauce, a glass of wine and organic apple for dessert.

SIRLOIN STEAK WITH CHEESE AND ALMOND SAUCE

    INGREDIENTS

    2 sirloins
    100 grams of emmental cheese
    20 grams of gouda cheese
    50 gr. almonds
    1 garlic
    100 ml. milk
    Oil
    Ground black pepper
    Pink pepper
    Salt

    PREPARATION

1.- Add salt and pepper to the tenderloins.
2.- Peel the garlic, crush and fry in oil. Add the tenderloins and fry for a short time, until golden brown on all sides.
3.- In an ovenproof dish add the meat, soak the meat with oil and bake at 190°C for 12 minutes. Leave to rest for 5 minutes. Then cut into thick slices.
4.- In a saucepan add the cheese and milk and bring to the boil. Stir continuously with a wooden spoon and when it is a perfect mixture, add the almonds. Then blend.
5.- Spread the cheese sauce on the plates and place the meat on top. Decorate with whole almonds and crushed pink pepper.

Tonight I will dine with friends in a Japanese restaurant, but we have booked Kobe for dinner and free the chef for his preparation and choice of accompaniment for the meat.
