    Back in my day (another fucking oldman reminiscing story), I would get a phone call at my desk from a user complaining that their computer wasn't working. I wanted to say "I'm a fucking software programmer not a hardware tech", what I actual said was "I'll be right there". Once there, I knew enough about hardware, that I checked to see if the computer was turned on and/or plugged in. Its amazing how many fucking times a hardware problem is fixed by checking to see if the fucking computer is plugged in. The best laugh I got from a hardware problem was when a monitor was on the fritz and making a buzzing noise. I went up to the monitor stared at it for a moment and as everyone in the room was watching me, to see what I was going to do, I reached over and bopped the monitor with my fist and the noise went away and the picture cleared. Everyone in the room started laughing.

    Just went out to to check the mail, bundled up, and even then when I stepped outside I still involuntarily said "Holy fuck balls, it's cold out here."

    When I got off the bus to work it was a mixture of rain, sleet and fucking snow and it decided to stop right after I got into work :(

    Now that I think of it, if they want me to continue fucking picking up after them they'll have to convince the boss to keep employing me after my contract ends in 4 weeks.

    Which will be a bonus for me and I can train them into doing a better job
