Age difference

Mmm. We were lucky to try with a youngster. She absolutely loved it, and be was like a puppy with three tails.

Five years ago I had a serious crush on a girl 17 years my junior (she was in her mid-20s, so totally legal). She ticked a lot of the right boxes for what I was looking for, but we never went beyond a simple friendship, and even that ended up foundering due to some irreconcilable differences of opinion.

When I was at university, there was a girl in my French Honours class who was nine years older than me. I was in my early 20s at the time, and she was a tick over 30. We used to hang out a lot, ostensibly to practise our French, but I got the feeling she was also keen on my company, and I quite liked hers. But neither of us made a move on the other. Then the following year, we sort of moved in different circles, and then one day, out of the blue, I got a message from her on my answering machine (this was in prehistoric times before mobile phones were much of a thing, and well before smartphones). I didn't hear the phone go because I was listening to a very exciting cricket match on the radio. She told me she was off overseas and wanted me to know she thought I was a "really special guy" and wished things could have gone further between us. I tried to ring her back, but her phone was engaged, and then when it did ring, nobody answered, so she'd obviously left the house.

Those two women are the closest I have got to a significant age-gap relationship.

I am 22 years older than my wife. I'm 60.
We are thinking about and keeping our eyes open for a young woman for a poly relationship.
