Watching Nightmare Before Christmas, because for most people who really enjoy Halloween, it's the beginning of the Halloween season. Until recently the beginning of Halloween season was July 5 for me, but after working a haunt in June I think I need to re-evaluate when my Halloween season begins.

Why in every incest movie there is tragic at the end, and actors end up crying, mothers screaming, loves broken.. Are the movies trying to teach us something? Is this real depiction of what happens with incest relationships?! - I think not.
If you don't provocate, talk around and keep it to yourself you can live a nice incest life and these films are bu***hit.
People are to busy to deal with your life and have their problems of their own, so far children are not involved nobody gives an **'s shit.

That's what they want you to walk away with. "Ick".
They want their film to be a morality tale that reinforces the lie that incest is wrong, etc.

No need to get political about it, but that's what they hope to do.
"See? This is what happens when you cross that line!"

I just avoid flicks like that anymore. A fav hobby of mine is finding films that depict incest without the "shame shame shame" false morality nonsense. They are rare. Hard to find those.

    Star_of_sea Collector of ephemeral moments.

"Amélie (Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain)", ("Amélie" (The fabulous destiny of Amélie Poulain)". Jean-Pierre Jeunet (2001)

A charming film, special, beautiful in its own essence, a delight to enjoy, captivating in its magic and bewitching in its images, a very, very aesthetic film.

Since it's Cassandra Peterson's birthday today, I just got done watching Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, and now I'm watching Elvira's Haunted Hills. She's still drop dead gorgeous at 69.

She's only a couple of years older than I. I wonder where she lives. I'd like to "bump" into her sometime.
