    The other part of raking leaves is when the Golden Retriever, chasing the chipmunk, arrives at about warp 6 and the big pile of leaves you just raked is now ALL OVER THE FUCKING LAWN AGAIN!

    That's still better than in the UK where it just FUCKING rains and is mostly cold except for a few days in summer when it can actually get warm...

    Ahh, the weather forecast for Kent .........rain, changing to drizzle........

    I had a great time in Scotland. Everybody was complaining about how cold it was and I found it quite pleasant. :)

    For the record, it fucking snowed here yesterday morning. :D

    We have friends that live in southern Florida their whole life.
    Wife and I went down a few winters ago for a week and the high for the day was 64 degrees F. A little chilly, barely.

    We were in jeans and tees and they were in heavy fall jackets and jeans, as were a lot of people. That is, those
    who ventured outside for such a fucking cold day.

    Fucking hilarious to us!

    I fucking know what you mean Pussycat. I've stayed in the UK a few years ago (in St Annes, Lancashire), and ventured far to the north, all the fucking way up to Caithness....catching up on Clan. Yes, it was rather cool up in Scotland, and even snowing while I was driving up there, but as you say, I also found it to be very pleasant. While down in England.....Brrrrr...

    ..I didn't get to Kent, only as far south as Norfolk (near to Sandringham).

    My heritage, home for years, Nova Scotia. "Nova Scotia" = "New Scotland". The Yanks can have their "New England", lol.

    When I was visiting Scotland I understood the locals perfectly, the accent was different but the words, the terms, the phrasing was just like being in Lunenburg. My ex on the other hand didn't have a clue, they might as well have been speaking Martian for all he understood. Then again he never was too fucking bright. :D

    Hell, a lot of Nova Scotians speak Gaelic fluently, mostly up in Cape Breton area.
