And that IS the truth. They never learn or don't want to learn. Better for them to stick their heads in the sand and ignore the truth that they are responsible for the carnage.

 

It's because the cost of IDs isn't paid for by the state so it discriminates against the poor and leads to voter suppression.

Racism isn't a good argument but classism definitely is. I would be okay with it if people were provided identification for free without any cost to replace it. The fact that a lot of essential paperwork in the US requires fees and doesn't fully use our existing tax system is simply ludicrous.

 

I believe in the bill that was introduced to require a government issued photo ID to vote had a clause that allowed
those with a maximum income level that was no more than 150% of the poverty level to obtain one at no cost to the applicant.

But the Dems shot it down claiming the poor had no way to go get the ID. The Dems will always find a way for a secure
voting system proposal to be shot down and not implemented.

Heck, the Dems are always the ones who want to do away with the Electoral College.
That way they know California, New York, Illinois and Washington DC will always be the only states who decide our presidency.

 

The Dems don't think black people know where to get an ID. And they accuse Republicans of being racist.

Dems also are pushing that for mail in voting that signatures don't need to match. Clearly because they plan on cheating by "finding" a bunch of mail in ballots after election day.

Hell, Dems in California have moved forward with putting up Prop 16 on the ballot, and Dem voters will vote for it without knowing that they are voting away equal protections for all, regardless of race, sex, or ethnicity, overthrowing 1996's Prop 209.

California is a hellhole.

 

I would like the electoral college system to be implemented on a state level. Here in New York State, New York City determines who the governor is. Look what he did with nursing homes and the pandemic. And the rest of state gets a royal screwing over.
