Jenny was now 3 years old. Amanda had insisted on naming her daughter after her mother, having realised how much Jen had had to sacrifice (and suffer) to enable Amanda and John to fulfil their dream of a deeply loving relationship culminating in the birth of their beautiful daughter.

Jen had become a doting grandmother. Amanda had hoped that that would happen after her mother had become so attached to Elaine's first baby, Bree.

Amanda stopped taking the pill immediately, but nothing happened for six months. She decided to try to replicate exactly the way she and John had 'performed' on the night that Jenny was conceived. While they had been waiting outside the theater, Amanda had phone Ernie, so the limo was waiting to take them home. Jen and Amanda just hugged each other all the way home. Cloe had been looking after Jenny while Amanda and her mother were at the hospital, and she made them a stiff drink when they got home.

Jen was upset, naturally, but Amanda was heartbroken. She had never loved anyone but her Daddy, and had always said that, if anyone took him away from her, she would want to die. She was in such a state of total despair that the tell-tale signs of morning sickness went unnoticed at first. Jen soon saw what might be happening, and she bought a pregnancy testing kit at the local pharmacy. She gently persuaded Amanda to try it, and, sure enough, Amanda was pregnant with her beloved Daddy's child.

Just before her 17th birthday, Amanda gave birth to a healthy baby boy. She had been hoping for a boy, and had decided on his name months ago - it could only be John.
