75th Anniversary...

    For two countries....

    Australia and the US of A:

    The 19th February this year marks 75 years since the Japanese bombed Darwin in our Northern Territory during the 2nd World War....

    It also marks the day that the US Marine Corps 1st landed on Japanese soil and many folks learned the names of 2 Japanese places - Mt Suribachi and Iwo Jima.

    Semper Fi Marines......your watch is over and you have been relieved - but NEVER EVER forgotten.

    Thank you immeasurably for your service...................
